Dear Friends in Yoga,

YOGA FELLOWSHIP ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

I invite you to attend our Annual General Meeting and Summer Gathering which takes place from 10.00- 1.00 pm on Saturday 15 June 2024 at NICVA, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast BT152GB.

Apart from business, we always find this a lovely opportunity to get together to meet old and new friends in a relaxed convivial atmosphere.

Core business should take us to 11.30, followed directly after by ‘Summer Breezes’ – a refreshing session of pranayama practices from the unique Gitananda tradition by Bridget Hamill and Michael McCann.

(In keeping with ‘caring is sharing’ you are encouraged to bring some nibbles/refreshments for communal enjoyment.)

As you can see from the attached Agenda, our AGM is an important date in the Fellowship calendar, when we elect our incoming Committee, and the Committee reports on our activities, financial profile and other issues.

It is an important opportunity for you, the members, to have your say and to influence our direction of travel. However, please note that only fully paid-up members will be eligible to vote at the AGM, so if you haven’t already, do please renew your membership as soon as possible.

I would therefore urge all those members who have not yet renewed their membership to do so as soon as possible (Membership Renewal forms are available to print off or to submit electronically from the Website – Membership ).

Membership and commitment are the lifeblood of the fellowship as we have said many times. We rely on your dedicated support to give something back to the respected Yoga community we have built up over the past decades.

Your Committee has worked hard to support the Fellowship’s aims and objectives, but we are keen to welcome new Committee members, with the right skills, commitment and creative ideas.

If you wish to be considered for membership of the Committee, please let us know as soon as possible, preferably either by e-mail to: margyoga@yahoo.co.uk or, if unable to do so, you can declare an interest at the AGM.

However, please bear in mind that you do not have to be a member of the Committee to volunteer to help our work, so your skills may be just what we need.

We are calling on all our members and friends to show your support and join us at NICVA at 10.00 on Saturday 15 June 2024.
