A Series of 4 Pranayama Workshops with Bridget Hamill Autumn/Winter 2024

15 November @ 18:30 - 20:30

A Series of 4 Pranayama Workshops with Bridget Hamill Autumn/Winter 2024

What is pranayama?
Pranayama is the fourth limb of Ashtanga yoga, which in modern times it is often referred to as a set of breathing exercises to improve respiratory, mental and general physical health.  While these benefits are undisputed, it has benefits far beyond these as Prana is not only the ‘breath’ but also energy and Life-force. By enhancing our awareness and experience of prana, we draw closer to the experience of meditation, and ultimately Samadhi – Enlightenment.
“Pracchardana-vidharanabhyam va pranasya” – Peace of mind can be attained by refining or controlling the flow of Prana, the vital universal energy. (Patanjali Yoga Sutras 1;34)

Who are these workshops for?
These workshops are aimed  at yoga teachers and yoga practitioners who have an interest in furthering their study of pranayama. Whilst they are not a teaching qualification, they have been YFNI approved for Continuous Professional Development hours. A completion certificate will be awarded on completion of the course.

What is being offered?
Four workshops are planned, each of 2 hours duration, which will take place through Autumn/Winter ‘24 on a Friday evening 6.30-8.30pm.
