Grant-funded courses
The Yoga Fellowship of Northern Ireland (YFNI) has secured funding from SportNI to run courses that benefit under-represented groups in sport (in this funding round, yoga for women and girls is being prioritised).
There is funding available to YFNI to run a small number of three-hour workshops and 5 short courses (each spanning 4 sessions of 90 minutes). Both the workshops and the courses must have been delivered before the end of March 2025 to qualify for the funding. The funding covers an element for venue hire and £50 per hour for the tutor as well as a small element for preparation time.

If oversubscribed, the criteria to be applied will include the certainty of the course/workshop being delivered within the stipulated time frame; the demographic and numbers involved and any statement made by the member in this expression of interest as to why it would be important for YFNI to fund their particular initiative.
At least one of the 4-session courses needs to be delivered in a school setting.
In the event that we do not receive enough suitable expressions of interest by NOON on 27th February 2025, YFNI reserves the right to have committee members deliver relevant courses/workshops to ensure the funding is not lost. It is hoped that further funding will be secured in the future and that there will be a longer lead-in time for members to develop their proposals.
Successful applicants will be asked to provide feedback to the Yoga Fellowship NI about
- how the event/course went
- number of attendees
- participant testimonials on how they benefited from the event/course
